Bauchi Ministry for Natural Resources trains staff to enhance service delivery

The Bauchi State Ministry of Natural Resources Development has organised an in-house capacity-building workshop for its staff as part of efforts to strengthen their professional skills and enhance effective service delivery.

Declaring the workshop open, the state Commissioner for Natural Resources Development, Mohammed Maiwada Bello, said the training was designed to build the capacity of personnel and equip them with the knowledge and skills required to discharge their responsibilities more effectively.

The Commissioner, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Hamisu Muhammad, stressed the importance of continuous learning and professional development in promoting efficient service delivery and enabling the ministry to achieve its objectives.

He also appreciated the Bauchi State Government for providing the necessary support to enable the ministry to effectively carry out its responsibilities and contribute to the overall development of the state.

According to him, the training would be a continuous process to achieve the ministry mandate.

Speaking at the event, one of the resource persons, Chief Emmanuel Ojowu, described the workshop as an important platform for updating the knowledge and skills of staff.

He noted that continuous training would enable personnel to remain effective, professional and responsive to the demands of their duties.

Emmanuel Ojowu urged participants to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the workshop to improve their professional competence and overall performance.

In their separate remarks, participants commended the ministry for organising the capacity-building programme and pledged to put the knowledge gained into practice for improved service delivery.
