The Area Manager of BRC FM Azare, Alhaji Saminu Muhammad, has urged staff members to redouble their efforts towards improving the station’s operations by upholding the ethics and professional standards of journalism.
He made the call during a Quality Control Meeting attended by all members of staff at the station’s premises on Sunday evening.
Addressing the gathering, Alhaji Saminu stressed that management would not tolerate negligence, indiscipline, or a lack of commitment to duty. He urged staff to remain dedicated, professional, and accountable in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The Area Manager also commended the Managing Director of Bauchi Radio Corporation, Alhaji Umar Muhammad Shira, for his unwavering commitment to strengthening the operations of BRC FM Azare and other BRC stations across the local government areas of Bauchi State.
He further encouraged staff to improve the quality of their programmes through hard work, innovation, and professionalism.
He called for the development of more educational, public enlightenment, and entertainment programmes while ensuring strict compliance with the rules and regulations guiding radio broadcasting.
During the meeting, staff members made valuable contributions and offered practical suggestions aimed at enhancing the station’s performance, programme quality, and overall service delivery.
Speaking on behalf of the staff, Malam Sani Habibu of the News and Current Affairs Department expressed appreciation to the station’s management for organizing the meeting, describing it as timely and essential for improving productivity and operational efficiency.
He assured management of the staff’s commitment to implementing the resolutions reached during the meeting and working collectively towards achieving the station’s goals.
Malam Sani also commended the management of Bauchi Radio Corporation for its continued support and appealed for more training opportunities through development partners and government agencies. According to him, such capacity-building programmes would enhance staff skills, boost morale, and further improve the quality of service delivered to the listening public.
