Bauchi State Civil Service Commission interviews 55 Road Traffic Workers.

The Bauchi State Civil Service Commission has conducted interviews for 55 prospective road traffic workers as part of efforts to strengthen professionalism, efficiency and effective service delivery in the state’s road traffic management system.

The exercise was conducted at the Commission’s headquarters in Bauchi for another batch of trained candidates screened and prepared by the Bauchi State Road Traffic Agency, BAROTA.

Speaking during the exercise, the Chairman of the Commission, Dr Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad, stressed the importance of discipline, integrity, commitment and good conduct among road traffic personnel.

He said the responsibilities of road traffic workers require a high level of professionalism and respect for members of the public.

Dr Ibrahim Muhammad cautioned the candidates that successful applicants must adhere strictly to the rules and regulations governing the Civil Service and discharge their duties with dedication, impartiality and a strong sense of responsibility.

The Chairman also said the Commission would continue to support reforms aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of the state workforce, while ensuring that recruitment and promotion are conducted in line with established regulations.

He urged the candidates to regard public service as a responsibility and an opportunity to contribute to the development of Bauchi State.

The Chairman added that, the Commission has so far interviewed more than 100 prospective road traffic workers who were screened and trained by the management of BAROTA.

According to report, of the 55 candidates interviewed, three were for the position of Higher Road Traffic Officer on Grade Level Eight, while 52 were interviewed for the position of Road Traffic Superintendent on Grade Level Seven.
