Management of Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board meets with Stakeholders ahead of 2026 Hajj Exercise

The management of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare has met with nominees of the Bauchi State National Medical Team NMT for the 2026 Hajj exercise, as part of early preparations aimed at ensuring a hitch-free pilgrimage.
The meeting, which took place at the Board’s headquarters in Bauchi, brought together key management staff and selected medical personnel nominated to serve during the 2026 Hajj operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Addressing the nominees, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr Imam Abdulrahaman Ibrahim Idris, Dujuman, charged them to uphold professionalism, discipline and a strong sense of responsibility throughout the exercise.
He emphasized that their conduct and performance would not only reflect on the Board but also on Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
Dr Imam Idris further noted that the medical team plays a critical role in safeguarding the health of pilgrims, particularly considering the physical and environmental challenges associated with Hajj rites.
He assured the nominees of the Board’s support and called for synergy between the medical team and other operational units to guarantee seamless service delivery.
In their separate remarks, the NMT nominees expressed appreciation to the Board and the Bauchi State Government for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to discharge their duties with diligence, integrity and fear of Allah.
The meeting also featured discussions on expectations, operational guidelines and coordination strategies ahead of the 2026 Hajj, with a focus on preventive healthcare, emergency response and effective communication.
The engagement forms part of a series of strategic consultations by the Board to strengthen planning and ensure that Bauchi State pilgrims receive quality medical support during the 2026 Hajj exercise.
