Bauchi State Government announces the sudden death of Abubakar Jafaru Ilela.

Bauchi State Government has announced the sudden and painful demise of Alhaji Abubakar Jafar Ilelah, the Wakilin Sadarwan Bauchi.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the state Governor on Media and publicity Comrade Mukhtar Gidado.

According to the statement, Jafaru Ilela passed away on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, after a brief illness.

Until his death, the late Alhaji Abubakar Jafar Ilelah was recently appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on Public Enlightenment.

It said, late Jafaru was a respected Public Relations icon and a grassroots mobilizer, as well as dedicated public servant whose contributions to the development of Bauchi State, particularly in community engagement and enlightenment, will surely be remembered .

Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed in the statement on behalf of his family, the government, and the good people of Bauchi State, expressed profound sadness and his deepest commiseration over this great loss.

He described the late Wakilin Sadarwan Bauchi as a committed patriot, a man of honour, and a bridge-builder whose wisdom and service will be sorely missed.

The Governor prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and prayed that Almighty Allah will grant his family, the Bauchi Emirate Council, the Media family and the entire people of Bauchi State the fortitude to bear the loss.
