APM adopts Babangida Maliya as consensus candidate for Disina bye-Election

Hon. Babangida Ishaq Maliya has emerged as the consensus candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the forthcoming bye-election in Disina Constituency of Shira Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

The bye-election was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following a vacancy in the constituency.

Several aspirants had initially expressed interest in contesting the seat.

However, following consultations among party leaders, stakeholders and the aspirants, they agreed to rally behind Babangida Maliya as the party’s consensus candidate.

At the declaration ceremony, the Returning Officer, Abdurrazaq Nuhu Zaki, raised Maliya’s hand and presented him with the party’s flag, formally endorsing him as the APM candidate for the bye-election.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Shira Local Government Area, Saleh Hodi Jibir, urged party supporters and residents of Disina Constituency to exercise their franchise wisely and support the APM candidate in the forthcoming election.

He also called for unity among party members, stressing the need for all stakeholders to work together and support the consensus candidate to ensure victory for the party at the polls.

The event was attended by party leaders, stakeholders, supporters and political associates from across the local government, who expressed their commitment to working collectively for the success of the APM in the forthcoming bye-election.
