Bauchi Governor urges citizens to uphold peace and unity.

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has called on citizens to embrace peace, unity, tolerance and the virtues exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as Muslims celebrate the 2026 Eid-el-Maulud.
The governor made the call in a goodwill message to the Muslim Ummah in Bauchi State and across Nigeria to mark the commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
Governor Bala Mohammed urged Muslims and other citizens to use the occasion for spiritual reflection and to strengthen their relationship with Allah and one another through righteousness, compassion and peaceful coexistence.
He stressed that, the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad remain a guide for humanity, particularly in the areas of peace, kindness, generosity, honesty, patience, humility and selfless service to others.
The Governor called on the people of Bauchi State to strengthen the bonds of unity and brotherhood, describing the state’s ethnic, cultural and religious diversity as a source of strength rather than division.
He urged citizens to appreciate their differences, reject prejudice and extend fellowship to one another irrespective of religious or ethnic background, stressing that collective development depends on peaceful coexistence.
Governor Mohammed also called on Muslim faithful to intensify prayers for peace, security and economic prosperity in Bauchi State and Nigeria, particularly against the backdrop of prevailing national challenges.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining its development agenda, with continued priority to critical sectors including healthcare, education, agriculture and infrastructure.
According to him, the government remains determined to complete ongoing projects and leave behind a lasting legacy of development and prosperity for the people of Bauchi State.
The governor further assured residents that the protection of lives and property and the maintenance of peace and law and order remain key priorities of his administration.
He warned individuals and groups against actions capable of inciting violence, exploiting ethnic or religious differences, or undermining the peace of the state, stressing that offenders would face the full weight of the law.
Governor Bala Mohammed appreciated the people of Bauchi State for their continued support and cooperation, while wishing the Muslim Ummah a peaceful, blessed and hitch-free Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
