Toro LGA Tasks WASH Department on Teamwork, Effective Service Delivery

Staff of the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, WASH, Department of Toro Local Government Area have been urged to work diligently towards the development of the area.

The Head of Administration of Toro Local Government, Alhaji Kabir Mahmood Abdullahi, gave the advice while addressing staff of the newly established WASH Department.

Alhaji Kabir called on sectional heads and directors to ensure proper division of labour, comply with the rule of law, and work in synergy with other departments for effective service delivery.

He commended all staff of the local government for their support, cooperation, dedication and hard work, urging them to sustain the spirit for the overall development of the area.

In their separate remarks, the Director of Works, Alhaji Yunusa Samaila, and Director of primary Health Care Department Alhaji Auwal Ibrahim, pledged to work closely with the new WASH Director to ensure the success of the department and contribute to the development of Toro Local Government.

Responding, the Director of the WASH Department, Bashir Abubakar Liman, thanked the Bauchi State Government for establishing the department.

He appreciated the support of Toro LGA Chairman, the Head of Administration and other heads of departments, assuring them of his commitment to working with relevant stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the department.
