APM Governorship Candidate Replaces Accident Victim’s Burnt Vehicle
By Aliyu Zakari:
Allied Peoples Movement, APM, governorship candidate in Bauchi State, Yakubu Adamu, has replaced the vehicle of a Darazo resident, Baba Shehu, which was destroyed by fire following a road accident along Darazo-Giade road.
Baba Shehu, a resident of Darazo town in Darazo Local Government Area, lost his Sharon bus after it was involved in an accident and subsequently went up in flames.
Yakubu Adamu reportedly encountered the aftermath of the accident while travelling to his hometown, Giade, where he was attending a traditional Bikin Gani celebration.
The celebration brought together members of the community highlighting the importance of traditional institutions and cultural activities in promoting peace, unity, community cohesion and the preservation of cultural heritage.
While on his way to the event, Yakubu Adamu came across Baba Shehu and was said to have been touched by the extent of the victim’s loss.
In fulfilment of that promise, a delegation led by the APM Chairman, Contact and Mobilisation, Mahmud Abba Yana, formally handed over a fairly used Sharon bus to Baba Shehu on behalf of the governorship candidate.
The gesture is expected to help the beneficiary recover from the financial setback caused by the accident and restore his means of transportation and livelihood.
Receiving the vehicle, Baba Shehu expressed appreciation to Yakubu Adamu for the intervention and fulfilment of his promise, describing the donation as timely following the loss of his vehicle.
The Bikin Gani celebration in Giade later ended with prayers for the continued progress of the Giade Emirate, peace and unity in the community, as well as peaceful political activities across Bauchi State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
