Ningi LG Council Boss condoles Guda community over Farmer-Herder clash

The Chairman of Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu Haruna, has condoled with the people of Guda community following a farmer-herder clash that resulted in the death of one person.

The chairman, who visited the community to sympathise with the affected families and residents, expressed sadness over the incident and appealed to farmers and herders across the local government to embrace peaceful coexistence for the development of the area.

During the visit, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu provided cash support to the family of the deceased and other victims of the crisis to cushion the effects of the incident.

To establish the circumstances surrounding the clash, the chairman inaugurated a fact-finding committee headed by his Deputy, Buhari Alhaji Lawan.

The committee was given a two-week deadline to investigate the incident and submit its findings, with a mandate to hear from all parties involved, particularly those directly affected by the crisis.

Alhaji Yahuza Adamu also commended security agencies for their efforts in containing the situation and restoring peace to the affected area.

He warned residents against taking the law into their own hands, stressing that his administration would not tolerate actions capable of undermining peace and security in the local government.

The chairman urged the people of Ningi to continue supporting government efforts towards maintaining peace and creating an environment conducive to economic growth.

He assured residents that peace had fully returned to Guda and the surrounding areas.
