Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Receives Documents from 20 LGAs for Emirate Council Selection

The Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has received submissions from all 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) across the state regarding the selection process for the newly constituted Emirate Councils.
Receiving the documents on behalf of the Ministry, the Permanent Secretary, Barrister Saratu Musa Jibrin, commended the timely and orderly submission by the LGAs. She urged all Emirate Council heads and stakeholders to ensure that all documents submitted are authentic and complete to avoid complications during the screening and verification process.
Barrister Jibrin expressed her sincere appreciation to the traditional leaders and the general public for their cooperation, support, and understanding throughout the submission exercise. She extended her prayers for a successful screening process that would benefit the people and enhance traditional governance across the LGAs.
He assured that the Ministry would remain committed to transparency, fairness, and the promotion of cultural heritage through credible leadership in the Emirate Councils.
