An Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria IMAN, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi Chapter, has organized a send-forth walima in honour of 48 graduating Community Health Extension Workers in the State.
Speaking at the occasion, the Provost of the College of Community Health, ATBUTH, Bauchi, Malam Yakubu Abdullahi Zokshi, urged the graduating candidates to make good use of the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies and apply them effectively in serving their communities.
In a paper presentation titled “Psychosocial Relationship Between Healthcare Providers and Patients,” Dr Mu’azu Abba Jibir called on Community Health Officers to demonstrate patience, compassion and trustworthiness in dealing with patients.
He emphasized the importance of emulating the exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his patience and compassion in all aspects of life.
According to the outgoing Amir and Amira of the Community Health Extension Workers, Malam Musa Usman and Aishatu Abubakar Madi, expressed gratitude to Allah for the successful completion of their tenure and thanked all those who attended and supported the occasion.
In their goodwill messages, the Deputy Provost of the College of Community Health, ATBUTH, Bauchi, Sale Abbas and Dr Haruna Liman encouraged the graduating Community Health Officers to continue seeking knowledge and improving their professional skills.
They also prayed for Allah’s blessings and success upon the graduates and their certificates.
The newly inaugurated executives of the Community Health Officers include Nasiru Abdullahi as Amir and A’ishatu Yakubu as Amira, while Magaji Ibrahim was appointed Secretary-General.
Others include, Tijjani Hussaini as Public Relations Officer PRO as well as Fatima Umar as Auditor.
