Governor Bala Mohammed launched the sales of fertilizer for 2025 Farming Season

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has launched the sales of fertilizer for 2025 Farming Season with NPK fertilizer to be sale at the subsidized rate of 20 thousand naira only.

Speaking while launching the program at Gajin-Duguri Town, Alkaleri Local Government Area of the State, the Governor explained that the subsidy in the price of the fertilizer was to enable small scale farmers to have access to the fertilizers to fully participate in the farming activities.

Governor Bala Mohammed said his administration
has procured 40 units of tractors to assist farmers across the 20 local government areas of the State to ensure effective service delivery in the farming activities.

He noted that his administration’s outstanding support to agriculture is to ensure food security and economic self reliance and announced a 2 days free day to civil servants from level 1 to 12 to enable them participate fully in the farming activities

The Governor directed the State Ministry of Agriculture to train 10 thousand youth on different agricultural skills for job creation to tackle unemployment
