Gov Bala Mohammed assents to 2026 #877.05b state budget

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State, has singed into law, the 2026 budget estimate of eight hundred and seventy-seven billion, fifty-two million, nine hundred and seven thousand, nine hundred naira into law.

Speaking while assenting the budget held at the Council Chambers, Government House Bauchi, the Governor appreciated the stats Assembly for the timely passage of the budget.

According to him, the 2026 budget themed “budget of consolidation and sustainability” was designed to accelerate the Development of Bauchi state and the welfare of its citizens through implementation of policies and programmes in critical sectors of economy.

He directed MDAs to hasten the implementation of the assented 2026 budget in order to achieve the desired objectives and assured that his administration will continue to be driven by transparency and accountability.

On his part, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Abubakar Y Sulaiman explained that, the 2026 budget estimate has gone robust and rigorous oversights and
assured of the continued support and collaboration of the assembly to the executive arm for the rapid development of the state.

The Speaker recommended for the for establishment of physical services commission to enhance physical responsibility related matters, training of budget officers, timely release of funds to MDAs for Better service delivery.
