Gadi Care Foundation empowers 100 Women and Youths in Katagum

In a bid to foster economic self-reliance and alleviate poverty, the Gadi Care Foundation, founded by Hajiya Fatima Garba Gadi, has provided empowerment materials and financial capital to approximately 100 women and youths in the Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Speaking at the occasion held in Azare, Hajiya Fatima Garba Gadi emphasized her commitment to creating sustainable economic opportunities for vulnerable groups, noting that financial independence remains crucial to improving community living standards.
She congratulated the recipients, urging them to maximize the equipment for long-term growth, while assuring non beneficiaries that future phases of the program are being planned.
In his remarks, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman for Katagum Local Government Area, Alhaji Sani Bala, commended the foundation’s intervention, describing it as a vital boost to local economic development.
He urged the recipients to resist the urge to sell their equipment and instead use the support to generate steady income.
Speaking on behalf of the recipients, beneficiaries Madam Alicia (Maman Yara) and Aishatu Muhammad expressed gratitude for the timely support, stating that the items and seed capital would significantly enhance their trade capacities and family welfare.
The distribution ceremony, saw selected beneficiaries receive working tools including motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, and smartphones, alongside cash grants to launch small-scale businesses.
