Bogoro PLWDs pledge support for Zakka Magaji Administration

Persons Living With Disabilities in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State have pledged their continued support and cooperation to the administration of the Chairman, Pastor Zakka Luka Magaji.

The group made the pledge during a congratulatory visit to the Chairman at his office to celebrate his victory in the recent Bogoro Local Government election.

Speaking during the visit, the leader of the association, Mr. Musa Haruna, commended the Chairman for his inclusive approach to governance and efforts to carry various segments of the community along in his administration.

Mr. Musa Haruna appealed to the Local Government Council to consider members of the association whenever employment, empowerment and other opportunities become available.

He also expressed appreciation to the Chairman for approving the construction of an Acquisition and Training Centre for Persons Living With Disabilities in Bogoro, describing the project as an important intervention that would enable members to acquire skills, develop their talents and become more self-reliant.

In her remarks, the Desk Officer for People with Disabilities Matters in Bogoro LGA, Mrs. Mbam Dakuna, appreciated the Chairman for his continued support and attention to the needs of persons living with disabilities in the area.

She urged the Local Government council to create more opportunities for members of the association to participate meaningfully in Local Government activities and programmes.

She also called for greater support in entrepreneurship, skills development and employment, stressing that disability should not prevent individuals from contributing productively to society.

Responding, the Chairman of Bogoro LGA, Pastor Zakka Luka Magaji, appreciated the group for the visit and for identifying with his administration.
