Bogoro Local Government Chairman reaffirms commitment to inclusive governance

The Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area, Pastor Zakka Luka Magaji, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to open-door governance, inclusiveness and people-oriented development in the area.
The Chairman made the commitment when he received the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bogoro Chapter, who paid him a congratulatory visit following his victory in the recent Local Government election.
Pastor Zakka Magaji expressed appreciation to the CAN leadership for identifying with his administration, describing leadership as a call to sacrifice, selflessness and a firm commitment to improving the welfare of the people.
He assured the delegation of his readiness to work closely with religious organisations, traditional and community leaders, as well as other stakeholders, to promote peace, unity and sustainable development in Bogoro LGA.
The Chairman disclosed that arrangements had been concluded to procure 50 solar panels for distribution to communities as part of efforts to improve access to electricity and enhance the living conditions of residents.
He also highlighted the ongoing construction of a Skills Acquisition and Training Centre for Persons Living with Disabilities and the Bogoro Community Radio Station.
According to him, the projects, when completed, would contribute to human capacity development, social inclusion, information dissemination and the socioeconomic transformation of the Local Government Area.
Pastor Zakka Magaji noted that his election as a pastor marked a significant moment in the history of Bogoro Local Government, assuring the people that he would justify the confidence they reposed in him.
The Chairman reiterated his determination to provide purposeful leadership that prioritises the welfare of residents and ensures equitable access to government programmes and development initiatives across communities.
Earlier, the Chairman of CAN, Bogoro Chapter, Mr. Amos Silas, said the visit was organised to congratulate Hon. Magaji on his electoral victory and reaffirm the association’s solidarity with his administration.
Mr. Amos Silas pledged CAN’s support for initiatives aimed at promoting peace, unity, harmony and community development, stressing that peace remains a fundamental foundation for meaningful and sustainable development.
He urged the Chairman to continue to provide exemplary leadership by drawing from his pastoral calling to promote moral values, fairness, peaceful coexistence and responsible governance.
The CAN Chairman further expressed the association’s readiness to collaborate with the Local Government Council on programmes aimed at improving the welfare of residents and strengthening peaceful coexistence among communities.
