Bauchi state Govt unveils plans to conduct women and children census

The State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development Hajiya Zainab Babban Tanko has said that state government is to conduct women and children census aimed at determining their actual population for accurate planning.

Hajiya Zainab Babban made the disclosure when she featured at the ongoing all Bauchi media houses “score card” of her ministry.

The commissioner also reiterated her commitment to continue partnering with relevant bodies aimed at improving the livelihood of women and children across the state.

According to her, Governor Bala Mohammed led administration has initiated various policies and programs to enhance access to vital training, financial resources, and market opportunities for women enterprises in the state
She then appreciated Governor Bala Mohammed for his administration unwavering commitment to support women and children especially in critical areas of education and healthcare among others.

Some Callers during the program appealed to the state government to implement policies that would address challenges associated with children roaming the streets and hawking as well as rampant cases of raped in uncompleted Houses across the state
