The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists has strategized effort to end gender based violence in the society.
The Bauchi state chapter of NAWOJ stated this during its congress meeting held at the NUJ Secretariat Bauchi.
On the issue of equal opportunities, the state chairperson, Hajita Rashida Yusuf had also called on women Journalists to participate in activities relating to career advancement, training and access to resources.
She charged them to advocate for women inclusion in all developmental policies of government to ensure progress.
During the meeting, , NAWOJ had presented appointment letters to Hajiya Asabe Azare of the state ministry of Information and Doris iYanka of the Brc to serve as Ex officio members in the state Executive Council of the Association.
