NBA Katagum branch inaugurates new executives

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Katagum Branch, has officially inaugurated its newly elected executive officers to lead the association for the next two years.

​In his farewell address, the outgoing chairman, Mustapha Alhaji Bila, characterized the inauguration as a celebration of seamless transition.

He highlighted that the election producing the new leadership was free, fair, and conducted electronically, marking an unprecedented milestone in the branch’s history.

Alhaji ​Bila noted that despite operating under resource constraints, his administration achieved notable milestones.

He extended his appreciation to his executive team, local traditional rulers, and security agencies for their steadfast support, while charging the incoming leadership to uphold the principles of fairness, justice, and dedication.

​Following the presentation of certificates of return by Electoral Committee Secretary Muhammad Ali, Barrister Ahmad Shayibu Ningi formally administered the oath of office to the incoming executive council.

​In his inaugural address, newly sworn-in Chairman Muhammad Ahmad Rufa’i expressed gratitude to the members for their trust.

He pledged to focus on fostering unity, transparency, mutual respect, professional ethics, and member welfare throughout his tenure.

Muhammad ​Rufa’i also committed to deepening ties with traditional institutions, security agencies, the NBA Bauchi State Branch, and the national body, promising to build upon the foundation laid by his predecessor.

He called on members for their continued cooperation and prayers.

In a goodwill message, the Provost of Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare, Professor Asabe Safiya Muhammad, congratulated the new executive team and wished them a productive administration.
