Residents of Bauchi State have been urged to hold elected leaders accountable for their campaign promises in order to promote responsible leadership and good governance in Nigeria.

The call was made by the Northeast Zonal Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Bashir Yakubu Ahmad, while receiving the expression of interest form submitted by Hassan Sulaiman Saraki, who is contesting for the Bauchi State House of Assembly seat representing Bauchi Central Constituency.
Ahmad commended the people of Bauchi Central Constituency for identifying and encouraging Barrister Saraki to contest for the assembly seat, describing the move as a sign of political foresight and commitment to quality representation.

He also advised the aspirant to serve as a good ambassador of the party by promoting the NNPP’s manifesto and ideals across the constituency.

Speaking after submitting his form, Barrister Hassan Sulaiman Saraki pledged to provide effective representation and address the challenges affecting leadership and governance in the constituency if elected.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the NNPP in Bauchi Local Government Area described Barrister Saraki as a credible and capable candidate who would help correct the lapses in leadership representation and deliver meaningful service to the people.
