The Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria FOMWAN, Bauchi State Chapter, has appealed to the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board to consider its members for inclusion in Hajj operations and other activities of the Board.
The State Amira of the Association, Hajiya Lami Umar Hassan, made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, in his office.
Hajiya Lami Umar Hassan commended the Executive Secretary for his exemplary leadership and humanitarian disposition, noting that the visit was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the association and the Board.
She disclosed that FOMWAN is planning to establish a tertiary institution in Bauchi State as part of its efforts to contribute to educational development.
Responding, the Executive Secretary, Dr Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris appreciated the delegation for the visit and encouraged the association to consider establishing a university, rather than a conventional tertiary institution, to achieve a wider impact.
Dr Idris assured the association of the Board’s support and cooperation, while expressing readiness to sustain a cordial working relationship with FOMWAN.
