The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Dr. Abubakar Y. Sulaiman has pledged legislative commitment to citizens aspirations.
The Speaker made the pledge while delivering his speech in Gombe State during a public hearing on the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, organized by the House of Representative Committee on the Constitutional review.
He said the event serves as an important avenue for the people from States that made up the Northeastern region to relay their divergent viewpoints, demands and societal needs.
Dr. Abubakar Sulaiman promised legislative readiness in taking into consideration the calls, challenges and what would add values to the lives.
He therefore urged the House of representatives Committee on Constitution review to leave no any stone unturned and treat all memorandums submitted equally.
The speaker enjoined the general public to keep positive hopes on the country alive and assured that everything within the confines of law to ease affairs.
At the engagement, which is meant to ensure wider participation, foster exchange of ideas and bond national unity featured inputs by those calling for the creation of States, establishing Local Government Areas and other grievances.
