Ningi Emirate Council has vowed to give its support towards eradicating land encroachment in Lame Bura Game Reserve for proper implementation of governments’ policies in the state.
The Emir of Ningi Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya made the remarks when a high power committee on deforestation for security and improved agricultural activities in Bauchi state paid him a working visit in his palace.
The emir stated that his Emirate will not tolerate disobedience to law through intrusion ,saying the Emirate will apply no favour measure aimed at actualizing the enforcement of governments’ order.
In his remarks, the Barden Ningi Alhaji Umar Barau, appealed to the committee to consider the lands demarcated out of Lame Bura Game Reserve during their exercise which belongs to some individuals who inherited from their forefathers.
Earlier the Chairman of the committee, Abdul Hassan represented by the permanent secretary, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mrs Liyatu M Gayus said the purpose of the visit was to seek the emirate’s cooperation in the task of moving illegal settlers out of the reserve.
Alhaji Abdul Hassan added that mobilizing and ordering traditional titleholders within his jurisdiction will help a long way to succeed in the task, for the interest of peace and security in the state.
Meanwhile, the team had visited the palace of district head of Kafin Madaki in Ganjuwa LGA where the chairman of the committee who is also the Commissioner, Ministry of Culture and Tourism Alhaji Abdul Hassan said, the reason for their presence was to interact with critical stakeholders with a view to enlightening their subjects about the decree on Lame Bura Game Reserve.
Responding, the Representative of Kafin Madaki District head, Alh Ibrahim Shehu Abubakar asked the gathering to deliver the massage to their respective communities for wider coverage inorder to achieve the desired objectives.
