Stakeholders in Bauchi South has endorse for the advancing of women inclusion and representation in leadership and political participation in Nigeria.
The endorsement take place at a town hall meeting organize by league of women voters of Nigeria (NILOWN) held at Musa Salma event center Magama Gumau in Toro local government.
Addressing the participant the national coordinator league of women voters of Nigeria NILOWN Mrs. Helen Daniel Ed-UBUNTU said the NILOWN has embarked on the town hall meeting to gain support ahead of the north east public hearing on the propose bill aimed at enhancing women inclusion and representation in leadership and political process in Nigeria coming up in Borno state.
According to her it is a right time for women to have access and occupied more government and political position hitch free, she therefore appealed for support as they continue the move.
In her short speech the chairperson NILOWN Bauchi state Hajiya Zainab Moh’d said same meeting was conducted in Bauchi north and central with a great success.
She applaud Bauchi state governor senator Bala Moh’d as a gender advocate in Bauchi and urged all stakeholders in the area to support the crusade as they are just asking for fairness not equality in government position and political offices.
In his remarks the Katukan Bauchi district head of Toro Alhaji Umar Adamu pledged his palace support toward advocating for fairness in the distribution of positions between all genders.
The meeting was attended by religious organization, politician, and civil society organization and community leaders among others.
