The School-Based Management Committee of Government Day Technical College, Jama’are has lauded the efforts of the newly posted Education Secretary of Jama’are Local Government Alhaji Shu’aibu Salisu Umar, and his management team for their commitment to enhancing educational activities in the area
The commendation was made by the SBMC Chairman, Alhaji Sabo Likita, during the Education Secretary’s visit to monitor the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Alhaji Sabo also appealed to the Education Secretary to consider prioritizing the school in the allocation of candidates into JSS 1 for the 2025/2026 academic session and beyond, with the aim of increasing enrollment.
The SBMC Chairman, who is also the Sarkin Yaki of Jama’are, assured a harmonious working relationship with the newly posted Education Secretary with support from the Emir of Jama’are, Alhaji Nuhu Ahmed Wabi, on his vision to promote educational development, particularly at the grassroots level.
In his response, the Education Secretary, Alhaji Shu’aibu Salisu Umar, acknowledged the efforts of the SBMC and the school management, adding that the purpose of his visit was to build synergy with the school and to oversee the conduct of the examination.
Alhaji Shu’aibu Salisu assured the SBMC of his team’s readiness to leave no stone unturned in ensuring quality education within and outside Jama’are metropolis.
