Emir of Katagum inaugurates Katagum Forum Education Trust Fund advisory Committee.

The Emir of katagum Alhaji Dr. Umar Farooq the second has inaugurated Katagum forum Education Trust fund Advisory committee with a view to address challenges facing the educational system in the Emirate.

The inauguration of the committee was performed at the katagum Emirate Council Chamber Chaired by the Emir in Azare.

Speaking at the event, the Emir represented by the Waziri of Katagum Architect Audu Sule katagum said katagum emirate has concerned on the educational system in the Emirate and Youths restiveness in the society.

He explained that in addition to the decision of the Emir, the Katagum forum also requested for the appointment of an advisory committee to spearhead the establishment of an education tax fund that will be responsible for rising fund that will used to enhance educational development in Katagum Emirate.

According to him,this prompted the Emir to approved the appointment of prominent personalities to handle the committee in recognition of their tract record, integrity and vast experiences.

Earlier in a welcome address, the vice chairman of the committee ,AmbassadorAdamu Aliyu said katagum Emirate has been known for long in attaining high level of education development in the country and described the initiative as historic, hence the need for All members to work together towards the success of the committee.

He used the medium enjoined all Local government chairmen of the Emirate and other philanthropist to support the committee with funding towards the actualisation of the exercise.

Other speakers at the inauguration event include, Professor Garba Dahuwa Azare and the local government chairmen from the emirate who were represented by their deputies.

The committee has the Emir of katagum Alh Dr. Umar Farooq II as Chairman, Amb. Adamu Aliyu Vice chairman, Alh. Dr Mahmoud Yayale Ahmad member, Dr. Musa Babayo member, Professor Gambo laraba Abdullahi member, Prof. Asabe Sadiya Muhammad member, prof. saminu Abdurrahman member.

Others are, professor Muhammad Hamisu Muhammad member, prof. Garba Dahuwa Azare member, prof. Abdul Aziz Ahmad member while Alh. Sani Ibrahim Burga will serve as the secretary of the committee.
