Emir of Jama’are Calls for Collective Action to Eliminate Open Defecation

The Emir of Jama’are, Alhaji Nuhu Ahmad Wabi, has called on residents of the emirate to put an end to open defecation as part of efforts to curb the spread of diseases and promote clean environment.
The Emir made the call while addressing his subjects at his palace.
He stressed the importance of maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation across communities in the emirate.
Alhaji Nuhu Ahmad Wabi expressed concern that despite ongoing sensitization and public health campaigns, Jama’are Emirate is still among areas affected by the practice of open defecation in the State.
He urged residents to embrace hygienic practices by making use of toilets and latrines at all times, noting that open defecation poses serious health risks and damages the image of the communities.
