BSUWSC Managing Director Honoured for Transformative Leadership

Managing Director of the Bauchi State Urban Water and Sewerage Corporation, Hajiya Uwani Garba Dagauda, has been honoured by Zaurawa Group 1 for her outstanding leadership and commitment to improving water supply across Bauchi metropolis.

The award recognizes Hajiya Dagauda’s efforts toward ensuring a consistent and reliable supply of clean and safe water to residents of the state.

Under her leadership, the corporation has recorded improvements in water accessibility and distribution, with increased attention to the efficiency of its operations and the provision of essential water services to communities.

Speaking while receiving the award, Hajiya Uwani Garba Dagauda expressed appreciation to Zaurawa Group 1 for the recognition, describing it as an encouragement to the corporation’s management and staff to remain committed to their responsibilities.

She said the achievement was a collective effort of the corporation’s workforce, noting that the challenges facing water supply could only be addressed through teamwork, dedication and sustained commitment.

Hajiya Dagauda also commended the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, CON, Kauran Daular Usmaniyya, for providing the enabling environment and support required for the corporation to effectively discharge its mandate.

Earlier, the Chairperson of Zaurawa Group 1, Hajiya Rahama Yar Babanta, commended Hajiya Dagauda for what she described as visionary leadership and her commitment to improving water management in the state.

She highlighted the Managing Director’s efforts to strengthen collaboration with communities and other stakeholders in addressing challenges affecting water supply.

The recognition, according to the group, is aimed at encouraging public officials who demonstrate commitment, innovation and dedication to improving the lives of residents.

The Bauchi State Urban Water and Sewerage Corporation is expected to continue pursuing measures to improve water distribution and ensure sustainable access to potable water across the state.
