Bogoro Council Chairman condoles Gambar Lere community over mining accident

The Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Dr Zakka Luka Magaji, has condoled with the Gambar Lere community following the death of Mr. Godfrey Markus in a mining site accident.
Mr. Markus reportedly died when a mining pit collapsed, while two other persons survived the incident.
During a condolence visit to the community, Dr Zakka Magaji expressed sympathy to the bereaved family and the people of Gambar Lere, describing the incident as tragic and painful.
The Chairman urged miners and other persons engaged in mining related activities to prioritise safety, professionalism and strict adherence to precautionary measures.
He stressed the need for miners to adopt safer and modern mining practices to minimise the risk of accidents and prevent avoidable loss of lives.
Dr. Zakka Magaji prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and prayed God to grant the bereaved family and the entire community the strength to bear the loss.
Responding on behalf of the community, the Village Head of Gambar Lere, Mr. Bulus Yusuf, appreciated the Chairman and the Bogoro Local Government Council for the condolence visit, solidarity and show of concern.
He described the gesture as a demonstration of compassionate and people centred leadership.
