Bogoro Chairman pledges support for Tafawa Balewa College of Education

The Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area, Zakka Luka Magaji, has pledged his administration’s support to the College of Education, Tafawa Balewa, an affiliate of the University of Maiduguri, as part of efforts to promote quality education and improve students’ learning conditions.
Zakka Luka Magaji made the commitment when the Dean Student Affairs of the College, Iliya Sur Umaru, paid him a courtesy visit, accompanied by the Students’ Union Government SUG President, Mr John Ayuba Adams, and other student representatives.
During the visit, the Student Union President, Mr John Ayuba Adams said the aim of the visit was to congratulate the chairman on his assumption of office and his leadership initiatives in Bogoro Local Government Area.
The SUG President appealed to the Chairman to consider supporting students through scholarship sponsorship, provision of a standard school library and the establishment of Wi-Fi services to enhance access to educational resources and digital learning.
He also appealed for the appointment of a Special Adviser on Student Affairs, who would serve as a link between the students and the Local Government administration, particularly in addressing students’ needs and welfare.
Responding, Zakka Luka Magaji appreciated the delegation for the visit and described education as a key to unlocking opportunities, a foundation for personal development and an essential tool for building a better society.
He assured the College and the students that, within his capacity, his administration would do everything possible to support the institution and contribute towards improving the welfare and academic development of students.
The Chairman charged the students to remain steadfast and committed to their academic pursuits, urging them to take their studies seriously and make effective use of every opportunity available to them.
According to him, leadership is about determination, responsibility and providing solutions to challenges confronting the people, stressing that those entrusted with leadership mandates have a responsibility to deliver on their promises.
He further encouraged the students to remain disciplined, focused and committed to excellence, assuring them of his administration’s willingness to support initiatives that would positively impact their education and future.
