Board of Trustee of Sa’adu Zungur Foundation elects Alhaji Muhmmad Kari as Board Chairman
The Board of Trustees of the Sa’adu Zungur Foundation have elected Alhaji Muhammad Kari as the new Chairman of the board.
Alhaji Muhammad Kari was the former Managing Director Nicon Insurance and the Waziri of Bauchi.
According to the spokesperson of the foundation Dr. Adamu Muhammad Hamid, said the Sa’adu Zungur Foundation was established to provide educational and economic support to the people of Bauchi Emirate council.
He said the Chairman of the board has a significant role to play in governance and directions as well as ensuring that the foundation’s duties are fulfilled.
Dr. Adamu Hamid who is also the head of Information management and Social Sciences Department North-Eastern University in Gombe State, further said the Chairman’s responsibilities also include setting the agenda for board meetings, presiding over discussions and ensuring the board operates effectively for its success of the foundation
.
The Board of Trustee members include Ibrahim Sa’idu Jahun, Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza former state commissioner for religious affiars, the Vice chancellor of Sa’adu Zungur University Professor Fatima Tahir and Professor Zubairu Abubakar Madaki.
The Spokesperson of Sa’adu Zungur Foundation announced the constitution of standing committees by the BOT to handle specific areas of responsibility.
According to him, the standing committees are fundamental parts of the foundation’s structure to achieve its set goals.
Dr. Adamu Hamid said the committees include, education and vocational, bursary and scholarship, commerce, competition, strategic planning, research and statistics, health, social development and information and communication.
Others he said, are resource mobilization, infrastructure development, linkages Network, publication, publicity and community engagement as well as financial and general purpose.
