Bauchi State Government takes steps to revive sporting facilities

The Bauchi State Government, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, has commenced arrangements for the renovation of sporting facilities in Darazo, Misau and Katagum Local Government Areas of the State.
The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Bashir Ya’u Katagum, disclosed this during an inspection tour of the facilities across the three Local Government Areas.
The inspection was aimed at assessing the condition of the sporting facilities and identifying areas requiring rehabilitation to provide a conducive environment for sports development and youth engagement.
The Commissioner, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Yusuf Adam, and other management staff, inspected the facilities and interacted with local government representatives and youths.
Bashir Ya’u Katagum assured the people that the Ministry would compile its findings and submit a report to Governor Bala Mohammed, for consideration.
He reiterated the commitment of the Bauchi State Government to improving sporting infrastructure, promoting youth development and creating better opportunities for young people across the State.
The local government representatives and youths welcomed the initiative and expressed their readiness to support government efforts towards the development of sports and youth empowerment.
