Bauchi Police Command Concludes 2026 Recruitment Screening Exercise for Constables
Bauchi State Police Command has successfully concluded the Physical and Credential Screening exercise for applicants shortlisted for the 2026 recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables, during a six-week exercise, which commenced in March 2026, at the Police Training School, Yelwa, Bauchi.
The screening exercise was conducted under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command in line with guidelines governing the Recruitment Board, the Police Service Commission,
The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+), commended the applicants for their orderly conduct throughout the exercise. He equally appreciated the professionalism and discipline displayed by officers and personnel of the Police Service Commission who conducted the screening diligently.
Meanwhile, in preparation for the next stage, team leaders of the Police Service Commission and the Nigeria Police Force; Mr. Muhammad Idris Baraya and DCP Ayuba Y. Dickson have inspected the designated examination venues, intended to ensure all facilities meet the required standards in terms of capacity, security, power supply, and internet connectivity for a seamless examination.
In the meantime, the examinations for shortlisted candidates from Bauchi State are expected to commence in the last week of April, 2026, where Candidates are advised to regularly check the recruitment portal for necessary examination instructions.
The Bauchi State Police Command therefore expressed its committed to support a transparent, merit-driven, and credible recruitment process aimed at bringing professionally competent and physically fit personnel into the Force to strengthen security in the State and the nation at large.
