Alkaleri Local Govt Chairman calls for desilting of water ways to avert flooding in the area.

The Executive chairman of Alkaleri local government area Alhaji Hassan Garba Bajama has appealed to people of Alkaleri to support him with prayers to enable him to justify the mandate reposed on him of moving the local government to greater height.

Hassan Garba Bajama made the appeal after he observed two Juma’at Friday prayer at the unguwan ajiya Alkaleri JIBWIS Mosque.

According to Bajama, he alone can’t perform well but with the support of the people, his administration would deliver optimally for the betterment of the people of the local government.

He also charged the people to desist from dumping refuse in drainages and culverts to a vert flooding in the local government and other natural disasters that may affect the lives of the citizens.

Hassan Bajama said, dumping refuse in culverts and drainages will contaminate the water they use and accommodate mosquitoes, hence he the need for them to abide by the instructions for a better healthy environment.
