Bauchi Set to Host National Conference on Ethical Leadership and Moral Rejuvenation

The Minal Learning Foundation MLF has announced plans to host the 2026 National Conference on Ethical Leadership, Integrity and Moral Rejuvenation in Bauchi State from June 19 to 20, 2026.
Speaking in a statement, the Executive Director of the foundation, Hajiya Bilkisu Abubakar Sambo, said the conference is aimed at addressing the increasing need for ethical leadership, youth empowerment, civic responsibility, integrity promotion and moral reawakening in Nigeria.
She explained that the conference, themed “Ethics, Integrity and Moral Rejuvenation for Sustainable National Development,” will bring together policymakers, educators, development partners, anti-corruption advocates, media professionals, entrepreneurs, traditional rulers, youth organisations, students and other stakeholders from across the country.
According to her, the event is designed to provide a platform for dialogue, collaboration and policy engagement on issues affecting national development, while promoting responsible leadership and positive social transformation among young people and communities.
Hajiya Bilkisu noted that the conference seeks to promote ethical leadership and integrity at all levels, encourage accountability and responsible citizenship, and empower youths through mentorship, education, entrepreneurship and leadership development initiatives.
She added that the gathering will also strengthen partnerships among government institutions, development organisations, policymakers and other stakeholders in advancing national values and ethical standards.
The two-day conference will feature sessions on ethical leadership and integrity, a Youth Ambassadors of Integrity Programme, entrepreneurship and networking sessions, policy dialogue and stakeholder engagement, as well as the launch of a book and the unveiling of the Ethical and Moral Rejuvenation Centre EMRC.
A major highlight of the opening day will be the National Ethical Heroes Awards, which will honour living and posthumous Nigerians who have distinguished themselves through integrity, ethical leadership, justice, patriotism, accountability, peacebuilding and contributions to national development.
Among the dignitaries expected at the conference are the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, the Sultan of Sokoto, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, the Emirs of Bauchi, Dass, Zazzau and Damaturu, as well as security chiefs, diplomats, development partners and traditional rulers.
Also expected are the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), civil society organisations, youth groups and professionals from various sectors.
