The Emir of Jama’are, Alhaji Nuhu Ahmad Wabi, has called on the people of his emirate to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise by obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), in order to fully participate in the forthcoming general elections.
Alhaji Nuhu Ahmad Wabi made the call in his Sallah message to the people of the Emirate, stressing that the Permanent Voter Card remains the only legal requirement for citizens to exercise their franchise during elections.
The Emir therefore urged youths, women, and all eligible voters to come out enmass to register and collect their cards before the deadline.
On security matters, the royal father advised residents to remain vigilant at all times and to cooperate with security agencies in maintaining peace and stability across the emirate.
He warned them not to allow themselves to be used by criminals or unpatriotic elements as informants to breach security in their communities.
