The newly elected Executive Chairman of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Alhaji Sama’ila Wakili has sworn-in his Deputy and sixteen elected councilors of the local government council.
The Chairman at the ceremony held at the council’s chamber in Bununu, emphasized their importance and roles as leaders and representatives of people at the grassroot level, hence the need to bring them closer in order to reap the benefits of democracy.
He further reiterated his administration’s commitments to work out modalities to improving the living conditions of the rural populace.
Alhaji Sama’ila Wakili commended religious, traditional and community leaders for their support and advices towards the development of the area.
According to him, the people of the area would remain grateful to Bala Mohammed for the developmental projects spread across the nooks and crannies of Tafawa Balewa local government.
Speaking on behalf of the newly sworn-in council members, his Deputy Maigari Ahmed Jambil, promised to unite and operate in a democratic manner for the betterment of the people.
In a remarks, the Tafawa Balewa Local Government PDP Chairman Alhaji Salihu Adamu Dan’asabe Bununu, said the election results is a clear testimony that Bauchi people still have confidence in PDP, saying they will work hard to ensure that the party emerge victorious at all levels comes twenty-twenty seven.
