BAUCHI STATE GOVERNMENT HOUSE PRESS RELEASE
The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON ,Fnipr ( Kauran Daular Usmaniyya ) has congratulated the Managing Director of the Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC), Alhaji Umar Mohammed Shira, on his election and inauguration as the Zonal Chairman, North East Zone, and member National Working Committee of the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria ( BON )
Governor Bala Mohammed described the development as a well-deserved recognition of Alhaji Umar Mohammed Shira’s years of dedication, professionalism and commitment to the broadcasting profession, as well as his significant contributions to the growth of the media industry in Bauchi State and beyond.
The Governor noted with pride that Alhaji Umar Mohammed Shira’s rise from the position of a news reporter to the leadership of the Bauchi Radio Corporation, and now to a prominent position within the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria , is a testament to his hard work, perseverance, discipline and passion for public service.
According to the Governor, the election is not only a personal achievement for Alhaji Umar Mohammed Shira but also a source of pride to the people and Government of Bauchi State, particularly as he has continued to distinguish himself as a worthy son of the state in the broadcasting profession.
Governor Bala Mohammed said the new responsibility provides Alhaji Shira with an opportunity to further contribute to the development of broadcasting, professional standards and the advancement of media practitioners across the North East region.
He expressed confidence that, given Alhaji Shira’s wealth of experience and proven commitment to the profession, he would discharge the responsibilities of his new office with dedication, integrity and a strong sense of service.
The Governor therefore congratulated Alhaji Umar Mohammed Shira on this important milestone and wished him a successful and impactful tenure as Zonal Chairman , North East Zone, of the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria ( BON )
He urged him to remain steadfast in his commitment to excellence and to continue to serve as a worthy ambassador of Bauchi State and an inspiration to young and aspiring broadcasters across the country.
