Members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in the country have been asked to use their professional connections to draw a new wake of national ideals relevant in addressing present challenges of the country.
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed gave the charge in his goodwill message, at the Annual General meeting and national election of the institute at Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state.
The Governor, represented by the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Alhaji Usman Shehu Usman sai Nigeria presently is in need of more unity and collective efforts to tackle various developmental challenges.
He described Public Relations as a bridge needed to reshape citizens understanding to prioritize national goal.
While congratulating the leadership and membership of the institute for a successful national conference, Governor Bala assured the present administration’s readiness to partner with the institute for the growth and development of the national.
According to him, Bauchi state is always appreciative of the valuable contributions of NIPR in projecting Nigeria and her values both within and outside the shore of the land.
Governor Bala Mohammed further said, the active and patriotic role being played by individuals and collective membership of the institute is commendable and urged the members not to relent in that direction.
