Bauchi State Water and Sewarage Corporation collaborates Public Corporarations to mark Workers Day

Bauchi State Water and Sewerage Corporation, has joined the local chapter of the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees to mark the 2026 Workers’ Day.

Speaking at the event, State Chairman, Amalgamated Union of Civil Comrade Sale Umar Misau, congratulated Hajiya Uwani on her appointment as substantive Managing Director by Governor Bala Abdulqadir Muhammad.

He pledged the union’s full backing to the managing Director whenever the need arise, praising her developmental initiative which is yealding fruitful result towards improving water supply.

Responding, the Managing Director Bauchi State Water and Sewerage Corporation, Hajiya Uwani thanked the union’s leadership for their support and used the occasion to call for a review of the corporation’s salary scale in line with essential service standards.

She also expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Abdulqadir Muhammad for creating enabling environment for her to discharge her duties effectively.

Also speaking, the Director Operations and Maintenance of the Corporation, Engineer Abdulmumini Mai Lafiya, praised the union for participating in the celebration and underscored the importance of staff unity in achieving corporate objectives.
