The Bauchi State Government has indicated a strong commitment to reposition the College of Education Technical Dass to enable the institution produce productive students.
The state Governor Bala Mohammed who stated this at the inauguration of roads construction project in Dass local government area said his administration is working with the National Council for Technical Education NBTE to secure accreditation of courses in the college.
Bala Mohammed who expressed concern on the increasing number of youth festiveness across the state maintained that investing in technical education would promote productivity among the youth.
On the road construction project, Governor Bala Mohammed said the Dass township project is awarded at seven point three billion naira while the work that would connect Dass to Rimin zayam is eight billion naira.
In a related development, the Governor has inaugurated construction of Bye-pass at Nabordo town in Toro local government area and township roads in the state capital.
Speaking on behalf of the benefiting communities in Dass local government area, the Emir of Dass Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman expressed appreciation for the project noting that it would ease transportation activities and facilitate socio economic growth.
At the inauguration of Bauchi Township projects, the Governor said about twenty three billion was approved to provide smooth access roads in GRA, enhance transportation and commercial activities for the benefiting communities.
Also speaking, the commissioner ministry of Works and Transport, Ibrahim Gambo Galdima reiterated the unwavering commitment of the present administration towards the execution of people’s oriented projects especially infrastructure.
