Bauchi First Lady Urges Women to Shun Night Visits to Politicians’ Residences

The Bauchi State First Lady Dr Aisha Bala Muhammad has called on women to avoid visiting Politician houses at night to collect money in order to protect their dignity and that if their children
The First Lady made the call during a gathering of Dugurawa Women organized to demonstrate their support to Governor Bala Mohammed, held at the Dr Rilwanu Suleiman Square, Government House, Bauchi.
She said women should uphold the dignity that God has given them and the responsibility they have of raising their families.
She advised them not to be moving around at night to collect one or two thousand naira, stressed the need to engage in their businesses.
Dr Aisha Bala commended the Dugurawa Women for organizing the gathering aim at supporting Governor Bala Mohammed.
The First Lady encouraged them to intensify efforts in sensitizing other women to vote for governor Bala Muhammad as Senator under APM party, as well as other candidates.
In his speech, the Gubernatorial Candidate of the APM, Yakubu Adamu, who was represented by Alhaji Mutaka Duguri, expressed appreciation for the support shown by the Dugurawa Women, stressed the need to enlighten other women to give them the opportunity in the upcoming election.
A prominent member of the Dugurawa Women, Hajiya Asabe Hamma, said Governor Bala Mohammed had maintained a cordial relationship with her despite her membership of the APC, announced her defection from APC to APM.
Earlier in her welcome address, the Founder of the Dugurawa Women Group, Hajiya Ramatu Y. M. Baba, urged members to go door-to-door to canvass for him in the upcoming election for the continued development of Bauchi State.
