African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) has distributed cash support and Goats to beneficiary’s in Toro local government.
Speaking at the disbursement of the livehood materials the Director general SDGs/FOCAL person AUDA-NEPAD Bauchi Dr. Lydia John Shehu the program is aimed to empowered beneficiary’s with tangible resources that can transform their lives and communities.
Dr. Lydia Shehu further said the program is aimed to enhance food security and promote economic resilience and recall that the African Union Development and prosperity through disbursement of cash support, to farmers, disbursement of cash support, to farmers, distribution of goats and Agricultural productions like fertilize, knapsack sprayer and seedlings to teaming beneficiary’s among others.
She maintained that the intervation program is made possible through the support of the state governor Send. Bala Moh’f Abdulkadir aimed to upliftment of the well bean of Bauchi State populace.
While appreciating the state governors initiative, she call on all the beneficiary’s to used these resources wisely, invest to their future and contribute to their communities growths and development.
Receiving them the executive chairman of the local government pharmacist Ibrahim Abubakar Dembo while appreciating the gesture assured his determination toward the full implementation of the NEPAD program in the area.
Represented by the head of Administration Alhaji Kabir Mahmood Abdullahi, the chairman recall nthe development initiative of the State governor Send. Bala Abdulkadir in Toro local government discribing it as the first of it’s kind in the history of the local government.
He thanked AUDU-NEPAD for selecting Toro local government and urged the beneficiary’s to make best use of the resources given to them.
Some of the beneficiary’s interview commended the Organisation for the gesture and promised to make judicious use of the items.
