The award, organized by Vengary Sports Centre Enterprise in partnership with Kolmani Sports Academy, celebrates individuals committed to youth empowerment and community development.
Speaking after receiving the award, Alhaji Aminu Barmini reaffirmed his commitment to improving the wellbeing of citizens and strengthening peaceful coexistence and unity across Warji and surrounding communities.
He described young people as “pillars of national development, political stability, and security,” adding that he draws inspiration from Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, whose vision continues to shape opportunities for youth in the state.
Alhaji Barmini said the recognition serves as a motivation to sustain and expand programmes that empower youth and women.
He also encouraged other local government chairmen in Bauchi State to prioritize sports as a strategic tool for promoting unity among diverse ethnic groups.
Highlighting recent initiatives, the chairman disclosed that the council has donated a Keke Napep as the star prize for an upcoming inter-community football competition involving clubs from Warji and neighboring Jigawa State communities.
According to him, the gesture aims to promote interstate unity and enhance youth welfare.
The Warji Local Government Chair, who also heads the Daga Kaura Sai Abunda Kace Muyi 2027 Political Forum, said the forum was established to appreciate Governor Bala Mohammed’s remarkable achievements.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Abdulsalam Abdulfatah, said the award recognizes Barmini’s passion for sports, unity, and youth development.
He commended the chairman’s strides in community growth and accountability.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Bauchi State Ministry of Youth and Sports, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim, urged the chairman to see the award as encouragement to further support sporting activities that foster unity within Warji and neighboring Jigawa communities.
