Bauchi State Teachers Service Commission sacks principal of Kirfi Govt Day Secondary School.

Bauchi State Teachers’ Service Commission has approved the immediate removal of the Principal of Government Day Secondary School Kirfi Malam Musa Ahmed Ningi for gross misconduct.

The commission has also removed a Senior Master in the school, Malam Adamu Shehu for conniving with the Principal to sell some properties of the school.

The development was contained in a statement by the commission’s Information Officer Adamu Garba.

According to the statement, the overseeing permanent secretary of the commission, Garba Muhammad Bashe, said a four man committee of the commission, has found the two officers guilty of the allegations.

The commission in the statement has approved the demotion of the two officers by one grade and will be posted to other different schools to teach.

It said the two officers will refund the sum of 597 thousand naira equivalent to the valued vandalized items.

According to the recommendation of the committee, the removed principal will refund the sum of 72 thousand naira to settle the allowance of casual workers of the school he owed.

The commission in the statement pledged to collaborate with the security agencies to recover the vandalized items.

The sold properties according to the statement, are 32 scrapped students beds, nine Jumbo Aluminum Pots and an unspecified number of roofing zing.
