Speaker Bauchi State Assembly vows more support for Civil Society Organizations.

The speaker Bauchi State House of Assembly Dr Abubakar Y Sulaiman has assured to secured an office for the Bauchi State Civil Society Organizations in the Assembly’s permanent site when completed.

The Speaker made the vow when he hosted officials and members of the Organization led by its Chairman, Mr. Jinjiri J. Garba.

The Lawmaker described the support of over 380 CSOs pledging to work for his success in the forthcoming elections as unprecedented, thanked them for their prayers.

Dr. Abubalar stated that most of the Bills he sponsored and passed by the House were organizational and people-oriented in nature.

The Speaker then donated the One Million Naira to the Civil Society Organization to cover the payment office rents.

Earlier the Chairman of CSO, Mr Jinjiri J. Garba said the aim of the visit is to commend the Speaker for his achievements in the past good 7 years that cut across sectors and lives.

He added that the Speaker’s inclusive style of leadership especially to the CSOs gave them a sense of hope and belonging

Mr. Janjiri assured the Speaker that the CSOs are ready and would do everything within the doctrine of the law toward his success.

He further revealed that Bauchi State has over 380 registered organizations but are lagged behind in terms of enjoying benefits compared to their counterparts in the Northeastern States.

Also commenting, a member of the coalition Asma’u Yahaya appreciated the Speaker and the House for the unwavering support to the persons with disabilities through the swift passage of the Disability Bil into Law.
