Bogoro LGA Boss flags off 2026 Qur’anic Recitation Competition in the area
The Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area, Pastor Zakka Luka Magaji, has inaugurated the 2026 Qur’anic Recitation Competition at the Gobbiya Juma’at Mosque, underscoring his administration’s dedication to moral education, youth empowerment, and peace.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Pastor Zakka Magaji emphasized the pivotal role of religious education in fostering discipline, character development, and social responsibility among young citizens.
He stated that, holistic youth development—combining intellectual and spiritual growth, remains foundational to building a peaceful and prosperous local government area.
The Chairman praised Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for his continuous backing of educational, religious, and community. centered development initiatives across the state.
He further urged all participants and community leaders to use the platform to pray for sustained peace, unity, and economic progress in Bogoro LGA, Bauchi State, and Nigeria as a whole.
Addressing participants, the Chief Judge of the competition, Alhaji Umar Shehu Aliyu, noted that eligibility for the contest is strictly reserved for indigenes of Bogoro Local Government Area to ensure fair representation and community participation.
In a vote of thanks, Alhaji Ahmad Mani commended dignitaries, parents, religious figures, and residents for their active participation and support in ensuring the success of the event.
Organized by the Bogoro Local Government Council Organising Committee and hosted by the District Head of Batagi, Alhaji Ahmad Mani, the annual event gathers youth across the council to demonstrate memorization and recitation skills.
