Bogoro Council Chairman inspects Disability Centre and ongoing Community Radio projects
The Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Zakka Luka Magaji, has inspected the ongoing construction of the Centre for People with Disabilities and the Bogoro Community Radio, describing the projects as important investments in grassroots development.
Speaking during the inspection, Zakka Luka Magaji reaffirmed the commitment of the Bogoro Local Government Council to partnering with the state government to support development initiatives aimed at improving the lives of residents.
The Chairman commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for what he described as continued attention to the development needs of Bogoro Local Government, particularly through projects promoting social inclusion, grassroots communication and community development.
He said the two projects go beyond the construction of physical structures, noting that, they represent investments in the people and are expected to provide lasting social and developmental benefits to present and future generations.
Zakka Luka Magaji assured the state government of the council’s continued cooperation and support within its capacity to ensure the successful completion of the projects.
He explained that the Centre for People with Disabilities would provide a platform for addressing the needs of persons with disabilities by promoting inclusion, equal opportunities, empowerment and their active participation in community development.
The Chairman also described the Bogoro Community Radio project as a significant step towards strengthening grassroots communication and ensuring that relevant information reaches residents across the Local Government Area.
He added that the radio station, when completed, would also enhance community engagement, information dissemination and the promotion of the cultural values of the people of Bogoro.
