Lockheed Martin Scholarship

Lockheed Martin Scholarship

Lockheed Martin has created a scholarship program to give students from underrepresented or impoverished communities who are pursuing certain STEM degrees (see eligibility below) the chance to succeed. These students must also show that they have a financial need. Up to 100 renewable scholarships of $10,000 each will be available in 2024 for full-time enrollment at any approved U.S. university of the student’s choosing.

Lockheed Martin Scholarship

Scholarship America, the largest national designer and manager of scholarships and other educational support programs for individuals, corporations, foundations, and associations, is in charge of overseeing the program. Scholarship America’s evaluation staff reviews eligible applications, and each program’s eligibility is decided at the sponsor’s exclusive discretion.

Applicants of the Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Program must be:

  • U.S. Citizens.
  • Current college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, or current high school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
  • Preparing to enrol or having previously done so in a four-year U.S. university or college that has received accreditation.
  • pursuing a major in computer science, cyber/cybersecurity, electrical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, industrial engineering, mathematics, physics, or aerospace engineering.
  • Make your financial requirements clear.
  • Regardless of other conditions, be open to the possibility of a paid internship with Lockheed Martin after completing your freshman, sophomore, or junior year of college (note: scholarship recipients are not guaranteed an internship, nor is the internship necessary to get a scholarship).

Awards

The pupil will be given a $10,000 scholarship if they are chosen as the recipient. In 2024, up to 100 prizes will be given out.

Awards are renewable for a maximum of three more years or until a bachelor’s degree is obtained, whichever comes first, provided that the recipient maintains enrollment in an approved major and achieves good academic standing in a full-time program at an authorized four-year U.S. university.

Only undergraduate studies are eligible for awards.

Notification

Mid-May is when applicants will be contacted. Not every program candidate will be chosen to receive funding. Students who meet the eligibility requirements each year are eligible to reapply to the program.
